Michael Andrew Adkinson age 65 of Galveston died Monday, October 17, 2011 at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston, Texas. Graveside services are 11:00 am Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Houston National Cemetery in Houston under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home of Galveston.
Mike was born in New Orleans, LA Sept 28, 1946. Mike was a decorated Marine with 2 purple hearts from Viet Nam. He lived out most of his life in Galveston with his wife Patricia and worked as a carpenter. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus # 12500 and a member of the Holy Family Parrish Church.
Preceded in death by his father, Tinson Adkinson, he is survived by his wife Patricia, stepson Adam Carrigan of Houston, TX, mother Arlene Adkinson and sister Sharon Boulton of Crossville, TN.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Veterans Wounded Warriors Foundation or the Knights of Columbus # 12500 and condolences for the family to the funeral home.
