Erma was born April 29, 1934 in Mansfield, LA to Herman and Bessie Spencer Pea.  A longtime resident of Galveston, she worked as a home health care provider.  She was adored by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She also was an Eastern Star, loved family gatherings, watching Sunday football.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Andrew Taylor; sister: Betty Fontenot; brothers: James Earl and John Wesley Jackson; two nephews and one niece.

She leaves behind a brother, Marshall Jackson: two sisters: Florence Jackson and Freda Mae Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin at 10 AM on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, followed by funeral service at 11:00 AM at St John Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Houston National Cemetery.
