Attend Galveston’s Fire Prevention Open House this Saturday
Fire Prevention Poster Contest Student Winners Showcased
Galveston, Texas – The community is invited to attend this Saturday’s fire prevention open house. Hosted by the Galveston Fire Department, the open house will take place 10AM-12PM on Saturday, November 12, at Fire Station #5, located at 5728 Ball Street (Galveston County Criminal Justice Complex). Galveston firefighters will be on hand to lead tours of the station, let kids explore fire trucks and equipment, and teach families about fire prevention and safety.
Guest speaker Patrick Graham, President and Publisher of The Galveston County Daily News will make a presentation and assist with recognizing the winners of the annual fire prevention poster contest. Fire Pup will also make a special guest appearance! Attendees will enjoy light refreshments and free fire safety materials.
Although October is recognized nationally as Fire Prevention Month the Galveston Fire Department is committed to year-round community education through outreach programs, activities, and events.
