COM President Resigns
College of the Mainland Board of Trustees today accepted Dr. Michael Elam’s resignation, effective Nov. 15, 2011, at a special board meeting. Dr. Elam was immediately reassigned to the position of immediate past president and he will be placed on sabbatical effective Nov. 16, 2011.
Dr. Elam joined COM April 1, 2009 as president after serving as VP at Daytona State College in Daytona, Florida.
