The Hitchcock Independent School District Board of Trustees, in a special meeting on Tuesday, voted unanimously to hold a public meeting on November 29 to receive input from the community, employees and students on what they are looking for in a new superintendent.
The matter was discussed during an item concerning a search for a new superintendent. James Knapp currently serves as the district’s interim superintendent in March, following the resignation of Dr. Michael Bergman.
The school board voted unanimously to hire a seventh grade math teacher as recommended during an executive session discussion regarding personnel.
No other action items were on the agenda. Trustees Shirley Price, Pat Turner and Ted Robinson were absent. Agenda
