GALVESTON COLLEGE ANNOUNCES NEW INSTRUCTOR OF ASSOCIATE DEGREE NURSING
Galveston, Texas – Galveston College welcomes its new faculty member, Ms. Carol Reyes. Ms. Reyes will be an Instructor for the Associate Degree Nursing Program. She earned her Bachelor and Master of Science Nursing Degree’s from The University of Texas. She also received her certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the Houston Baptist University.
Ms. Reyes has been a nurse for thirty eight years. She has taught Associate Degree Nursing for five years. Her experience qualifies her to teach nursing at many levels.
The experience of teaching techniques to nursing students will allow Ms. Reyes’ students to experience associate degree nursing as “a stepping stone towards higher education”. This will further strengthen their ability to meet the medical needs of their future patients.
Before moving to Galveston, Ms. Reyes lived in Chicago, Illinois. Earlier in her career, she was a Nurse Practitioner at the Alliance Medical Care Center and Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. Ms. Reyes taught at College of the Mainland for one year and she also taught at South Texas College for four years.
