Spark Holiday Magic with Sugar Land’s 9th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting
Sugar Land, Texas - As the song goes, “Santa Claus is coming to town”

Merry and jolly holiday spirits will come to Sugar Land Town Square as the City celebrates its 9th annual Christmas Tree Lighting event on Thursday, Dec. 1, from 5-8 p.m. Mayor James Thompson and Santa Claus will unite once again to light the City’s 40-foot Christmas tree to kick off the holiday season among a crowd of thousands who will be treated to a very special and top secret surprise from the Sugar Land Skeeters.
This amazing event will have festive and free activities for the entire family to enjoy, such as holiday photos with Santa, elf karaoke, holiday performances, several craft stations and much more!
The main stage will include performances by Sugar Land Super Star winner Erica Marks, Jr.; Sugar Land Super Star winner Lexi Stavinoha; local school groups and organizations; and several community choirs.
Holiday stilt walkers and other walk-around characters will roam the square.
The event is free and open to the public. A free shuttle service will run from Mercer Stadium, 16403 Lexington Blvd., to Sugar Land Town Square from 4:30-8:30 p.m. Parking will also be available in the Texas and Lone Star garages located in Town Square.
