Carol Anne Dolson Fieselman

Carol Anne Dolson FieselmanCarol Anne Dolson Fieselman of Galveston, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her husband of 63 years Clifford C. Fieselman.  She passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at The Colonnades, in Pearland, Texas after a short illness.  She was born in Galveston, Texas on December 24, 1925, as the eleventh child to the late Catherine and Adolph Dolson.

Carol grew up in Galveston as the youngest child with ten sisters and one brother.  She attended Dominican Catholic School as did her nine sisters.  Her father was on the city council of Galveston for many years. Cliff and Carol met in Galveston as Cliff was being discharged from the Navy and were married on September 4, 1946.   They moved to Lincoln, Nebraska in 1946 where Cliff worked for General Mills.  Then in 1958 they moved to LaMarque, Texas where Cliff could work at Bankers Savings and Loan with his brother-in-law Louis F. Fox in Galveston.  In 1967 they moved to Galveston where they spent the rest of their lives. Carol was a devoted housewife and mother to her two daughters, Joan and Patti, and a rock for her husband and soul mate, Cliff.  She loved all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was affectionately called Grammy by all.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Cliff, her parents, Adolph and Catherine Dolson, infant daughter, Susan Jane, brother Julius L. Dolson, Sister Helen Mary, Sister Noemi, Sister Mary Louise, Edith Plylar (Eck), Catherine Fox (Louis), Mary Ellen, Pauline, Florence LaGrange and Helen Marie.

She is survived by her daughter Joan Ellen Boone and husband Douglas, of Freeport, Texas, and Patricia Ann Cummings and husband Bob Cummings, of Manvel, Texas; grandchildren, Doug Boone II (Michelle), Staci Dahl (Jeff), Clifford Rogge (BJ), Michelle Siegel (Marvin), Stacey Smith (Corey); great-grandchildren, Zachary Rogge, Tori Cummings, Nicholas and Jonathan Boone, Haden, Liam and Nolan Dahl, Rowdy and Everett Rogge, Haile Smith and Tyler Anders. 

 

Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Galveston on, Monday, November 21, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  The Vigil will be 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The mass will start at 11:30 a.m.  Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson.  Father John Kellick, formerly of St. Peters Catholic Church of Galveston, will officiate with Deacon Sam Dell’Olio assisting.   

 

The family would like to acknowledge a sincere appreciation to the Colonnades and Trinity Oaks of Pearland and Vitas Hospice for their loving and concern care of Grammy.


Pallbearers will be Doug Boone II, Cliff Rogge, Marvin Siegel, Jeff Dahl, Zach Rogge and Tori Cummings.  Honorary Pallbearers will be the Great-Grandchildren.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
