Four suspects are in custody charged with capital murder in connection with a shooting Monday on Hollister near Bourgeois in northwest Harris County. That shooting left one person dead and an undercover HCSO deputy wounded.
Officers with several local and federal agencies were conducting surveillance on an 18-wheeler carrying an undetermined quantity of marijuana when several suspects in vehicles pulled up to the truck and opened fire. Officers engaged in gunfire with the suspects. That exchange resulted in the undercover officer being shot in the leg and the death of the occupant in the 18-wheeler.
The deputy, whose name will not be released as he is an undercover officer, was wounded in the leg and is expected to make a full recovery. The identity of the suspect killed is being withheld pending further investigation. No further information is available at this time.
The four suspects in custody are:

1. Tavera, Fernando DOB 5/15/1992

2. Deluna, Eric DOB 4/3/1988

3. Ramirez, Ricardo DOB 4/11/1976

4. Resendiz, Rolando DOB 9/01/1983
All have been charged with Capital Murder and are being held without bond.
