The Houston Fire Department was dispatched to a fire in the 1600 block of Campbell at Long Point about 8:15 p.m. last night, November 22, 2011. Firefighters arrived on scene within three minutes and found heavy smoke coming from the rear of the Barbeque restaurant. Fire was found coming for a large barbeque smoker and the surrounding walls.
Approximately 30 firefighters responded to the incident which was tapped out in 30 minutes. The fire caused about $65 thousand in damage with moderate fire and smoke damage to the building. The cause appeared to be from an unattended fire in a barbeque smoker.. There were no reported injuries.
