El Mar Lane/Seascape Entrances Paving & Drainage Improvements Project 2011-02

Summary of Work

El Mar Lane will be under construction starting in January 2012 from State Highway 146 to North Meyer Avenue.  The entire street (3,150 ft) will be completely replaced with reinforced concrete pavement with curb and gutter drainage system.  In addition, all driveways and sidewalks will be removed and replaced with new reinforced concrete up to and within the street right-of-way.

Traffic will be controlled based on 6 different phases during construction.  Traffic will ONLY flow in the east-bound direction and will be closed in the west-bound direction for all phases. Phase 1 & 2 will consist of the portion of El Mar Lane between SH 146 and Bahama Dr.  Phase 3 & 4 will consist of the portion of El Mar Lane between Bahama Dr. and Nassau Dr. Phase 5 & 6 will consist of the portion of El Mar Lane between Nassau Dr. and N. Meyer Ave. For residents who live along Phases 3-6, access to your property during construction on your side of the drainage ditch will be temporarily unavailable.  Parking will be provided on the opposite side of the drainage ditch until construction on your side of the street is completed.  Seascape entrances at N & S Flamingo will be constructed of 8” reinforced concrete pavement with 6” cement stabilized subgrade. Existing pavement elevations will be matched. The entire project is scheduled to take 6 months to complete.
