Rice University community to form human ribbon
on World AIDS Day
HOUSTON – On Dec. 1, members of the Rice University community will come together to form a human ribbon in commemoration of World AIDS Day. Their purpose is to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and to raise funds for an Alternative Spring Break group who is planning a trip to San Francisco to work with people affected by the disease.
Who: Rice students, faculty and staff who will participate in the university's Alternative Spring Break.
What: World AIDS Day event involving the formation of a human ribbon at Rice University.
When: 11:50 a.m. to 1:05 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1.
Where: Rice's Academic Quadrangle, located between Lovett Hall and Fondren Library.
