Semonia “Monie” Davis
Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary

Semonia “Monie” Davis, special sister of Loula Davis left to be with her family in heaven on Sunday, November 27, 2011, at Park Manor at Cypress Station.

Semonia was born January 29, 1937, to Simon and Patience “Rose” Guillory Davis in Leonville, LA. After attending school briefly in Louisiana, she moved to Galveston in 1946. She was a 1956 graduate of Central High School. After 31 years of service, Semonia retired from Goodwill Industries in 2005.

In addition to her mother and father, Semonia was preceded in death by her sisters: Alberta Reed, Evelyn Rideaux, Edna Sonnier, Bernice Subject, Genevieve Davis King and half sister, Etha Davis Bergeron; a brother: Joseph Guient.

She leaves with precious memories, her sister: Loula Davis; half brother: Gerald Davis both of Houston; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. She is also survived by her extended families of Parker, Colorado and Arlington, VA.

Visitation will begin at 10AM on Saturday, December 3, 2011, at St Patrick Catholic Church with a rosary at 10:30 am, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 A.M.. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, TX.
