Camacho crowned Miss LIT at college’s first pageant
BEAUMONT – Mayra Camacho, computer drafting technology major, was crowned Miss LIT at the first Miss LIT Pageant on Saturday, Dec. 10.
Five students participated in the pageant, competing in casual wear, Sunday dress, business interview and wear, talent and formal wear.
Camacho, who is president of the Student Government Association, was also named Miss Congeniality.
First runner-up was Felicia Alexander-Branch, instrumentation technology major and member of the LIT Instrumentation Association and SkillsUSA. She is also an LIT TechStar.
Connor Hargroder, process operating technology major, was second runner-up and the winner of the talent portion of the event.
