Hitchcock ISD Board of Trustees

The Hitchcock Independent School District Board of Trustees on Thursday voted unanimously to approve a guaranteed maximum price of $11,022,500 for the construction of the district's new high school.

The school board voted unanimously to approve design changes for the new school.

The school board voted unanimously to approve a schedule for the search and hiring of a new superintendent for the district.

Hitchcock ISD will advertise the position beginning on January 3, and continue to accept applications through February. Reviews of applications will begin on February 20, and interviews are expected to take place in March, with a finalist named in April and a start date for the new superintendent of June 4.

The school board voted unanimously to approve a CTE Agreement with La Marque Independent School District.

The school board took no action regarding items discussed during executive session, which included consultation with the board's attorney, personnel matters, and a Level III Grievance regarding Tashana McGinty-Grimes.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. Trustees Tom Ivey and Ted Robinson were absent. Agenda
