The University of Houston’s, Center for Logistics and Transportation Policy (CLTP), will begin the New Year by offering a one-week condensed Certificate in International Logistics (CIL), January 9 thru 14. The CIL certificate offers in-depth education for professionals in the Global Supply Chain Logistics profession who desire to advance their knowledge base regarding key terminology, essential concepts and strategies related to inventory control, global sourcing, international transportation regulations, documents requirements and handling, import/export procedures, transportation economics, risk management, insurance, letters of credit, and intermediaries.
Course Layout
· Six days of course instruction, Monday through Saturday
· Two courses per day, one 4-hour segment plus one 3-hour segment
· Supply Chain, Documentary Credits, and Logistics provided by educators with practical experience in the industry
· Total training includes:
§ 12 courses
· 42 hours of instruction
· 1 hour of testing
· Certain U.S.-centric content may be "localized" to market practices
