TEXAS CITY – Tonight the Texas City Independent School District Board of Trustees approved contracting with Tex Coach Athletic Consulting to conduct a search for a new athletic director and head football coach. Earlier this month, AD and head football coach Tim Finn announced his resignation effective on June 30, 2012. 

Former Texas City athletic director and head football coach Rusty Dowling is a partner with the independent search firm. “Since we are still in the process of searching for a superintendent, it makes sense for us to use a professional search firm to also search for a new athletic director,” said Board President Hal Biery. “Tex Coach has an extensive background in coaching and athletic administration plus they have a large network across the state.”
