Lena Fuller “Mama-Mother”
Lena Fuller, 89, received her call into eternal rest on Thursday, December 15, 2011, at UTMB Hospital.
Mrs. Fuller was born to John and Dora Power on February 10, 1922, in Nacogdoches, Texas.
She accepted Christ at an early age, and was a faithful member of Jerusalem Baptist Church.
She was formerly employed by Fort Crockett, Gaido’s, Commodore and Jean Lafitte hotels. She was also a member of the Iona Chapter #2057 of Galveston, Mt. Olive Grand Chapter of Texas Order of Eastern Stars.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jewell Fuller; sisters, Annie Lee Wilkins, Orine Berry, Rosie Lee Christopher, Rowena Watts, and Mattie Lee McGowan; brothers, Andrew Powers, Sr. and Feodie Power, Sr.
Left with cherish memories is her loving and devoted daughter, Lillian Nell “ Sister” Boulet; two devoted grandchildren; 4 devoted great grandchildren; sister, Maggie L. Anderson of Nacogdoches, TX. She has a host of caring and devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to all their family, friends, Dr. Cintron, and the nurses and staff of UTMB ER, for their support and prayers.
Visitation will be held on today at Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary from 4-8PM. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 24, 2011, at Jerusalem Baptist Church with Pastor A.S. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
