METRO TO OFFER FREE RIDES NEW YEAR’S EVE
AGENCY TO HELP REVELERS GET HOME SAFELY 

METRO wants to make sure revelers ringing in the New Year get home safely and will offer free rides on its regularly scheduled bus and rail service between the hours of 6 p.m. New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31) and 6 a.m. New Year’s Day (Jan. 1).

Here’s a quick reminder of METRO’s service for the New Year’s Day holiday:

Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012 (New Year’s Day)

·         Local bus routes and METRORail will operate a Sunday schedule.

·         No Park & Ride service.

·         Customer Care Center will be closed.

·         RideStore and Lost & Found will be closed.

Monday, Jan. 2, 2012:

·         Local bus routes and METRORail will operate a Sunday schedule.

·         No Park & Ride service.

·         RideStore and Lost & Found will be closed.

·         Customer Care Center will be open 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
