Merrill Allan True, 71, of Galveston, passed away December 27, 2011, at UTMB Hospital. 

He was born January 1, 1940, in Waco, Texas, and worked for many years as an environmental consultant.  Merrill was a resident of Galveston since 2002, having lived for the previous 10 years in Crystal Beach. 

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Renate True.  Per his wishes, Merrill will be cremated and there will be no services.
