HOUSTON BOAT SHOW TO CLOSE ONE DAY DUE TO TEXANS PLAYOFF GAME
WHO: 2012 Houston International Boat, Sport and Travel Show at Reliant Center, the largest indoor and longest running show of its kind in the country.
WHAT: For the first time in its 56 year history, the Houston Boat Show will suspend its operations for one day this Saturday, January 7, due to the Texans playoff game at Reliant Stadium. The show, which opens this Friday at Reliant Center, will reopen at 11:00am Sunday morning, as originally scheduled.
"We have to suspend the show for one day this Saturday for logistical reasons. With a Texans home playoff game next door, there won't be enough parking for our expected 40,000 attendees that day," said Houston Boat Show President Ken Lovell. "All of us here at The Houston Boat Show are very excited about the playoff game so we will be celebrating the Texans Saturday and reopening The Houston Boat Show Sunday at 11:00am for a Super Sunday celebration with lots of great deals and family activities. We will also have ticket and parking specials throughout the show."
