KVLU Explores Eastern Canada
Beaumont, Texas – Lamar University public radio 91.3 KVLU will host “The Best of Eastern Canada” travel adventure Aug. 19 – 27, 2012. The nine-day tour features stops in Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec City and Montreal, and will include a trip under the mighty Niagara Falls aboard the famed Maid of the Mist.
“Last year we toured the western half of Canada, so it was an easy decision this year to complete our Canadian travel experience,” said Melanie Dishman, station manager for advancement and the tour’s coordinator. “These are beautiful French-speaking cities, including Canada’s capital city, and we are looking forward to hosting this tour.”
To provide more information about the trip, KVLU has scheduled a meeting for 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, in the lecture hall at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas.
“Anyone who has the slightest interest in discovering the wonders of Canada should really attend the meeting,” said Dishman. “We’ll be able to answer your questions as we go over the details of the trip.”
It is not necessary to be a member of KVLU to participate in the trip.
