Update:METRO LIGHT RAIL SERVICE REESTABLISHED THROUGHOUT SYSTEM
Flood water has receded allowing normal rail service to resume throughout the METRORail system with stations operating from Fannin South to UH Downtown.

Katy Freeway east bound traffic is being diverted onto METRO’s HOV extension due to severe flooding on the freeway. The Katy HOV extension will be open to all traffic until flooding is reduced.

METRORail service is now operating from Smithlands north to UH Downtown. Service remains disrupted from Smithlands to Fannin South due to extremely high water. Bus bridges are being maintained to help transport passengers.

Light rail service is limited to the Downtown Transit Center and the Preston Station on Main Street. Rail is also operating between the TMC Transit Center and Smithlands.
