PORT OF HOUSTON AUTHORITY APPROVES 2012 OPERATING BUDGET
Operating revenue is budgeted at $214M
HOUSTON – At a special meeting today, the Port Commission of the Port of Houston Authority approved the Port Authority’s 2012 operating budget, which was developed to guide staff in the operation and management of Port Authority facilities and activities for Fiscal Year 2012.
With modest growth of 4.1 percent forecast for container traffic at the Port of Houston Authority for 2012, the Port Authority has budgeted $214.8 million for its 2012 operating revenue, $64.7 million for operating income and $9.7 million for net income. The 2011 operating revenue forecast was $207.1 million.
As in 2011, the approved 2012 operating budget includes no salary adjustments for Port Authority employees.
