Sandra L. Richardson completed her earthly journey on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at UTMB Hospital. Sandra was born December 3, 1947, in Galveston, TX. She received her education in the public schools of Galveston and was a 1966, graduate of Central High School. She was employed with UTMB (John Sealy Hospital) and retired from the material management department after many years of service. She also was a member of the Junior Smiling Social and Charity Club, serving as the treasurer.

She was preceded in death by her parents Rosie Lee Phillips and Julius Gordon.

She leaves with cherished memories, her husband of 43 years, Robert Richardson; her loving and devoted daughter, Natica Richardson of Houston; her best friend and sister, Ruth E. Greer (John) of Houston; her caring and dedicated stepfather, earl Phillips of Texas City; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive family and friend from 7-8PM for a wake service today January 13th, at Fields -Johnson Family Mortuary. A service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, January 14, 2012, at 10:00 am at the Spiritual True Church, 2915 Ave M ½, with Rev. Jerry Temple, Pastor, Rev. Kervis Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
