Pearland will hold a runoff election on Saturday for the unexpired term of City Council Position No. 5.
The race is between Kevin Cole, an employee benefits broker, and Greg Hill, an attorney. Cole and Hill received the top votes in the December 3 special election for the position. However, neither Cole nor Hill received a clear majority of the vote to be declared winner in the three-way race that included Gary Bucek.
The winner will fill an unexpired term on the city council that will be left by Ed Thompson, who is vacating the seat to seek state office.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voting locations will be at the Pearland Community Center on Liberty, Mary Marek Elementary School, the Bailey Road Facility and the Westside Event Center. Polling Information
