The Santa Fe Independent School District Board of Trustees on Monday voted unanimously to extend the contract of Superintendent Dr. Leigh Wall by one year.
Wall’s contract will now continue through 2015. The item was discussed during an executive session.
The school board voted to approve an energy management plan for the district. The plan was developed following a study by CLEAResult, a consulting firm working through CenterPoint Energy’s Schools Conserving Resources, or “SCORE”, program.
The study provides guidance on energy conservation and ideas to implement in order to reach short term and long term energy efficiency goals.
The school board voted to accept the annual audit report. The audit was conducted by Start & Busch, LLC. Santa Fe ISD received a clean or “unqualified” opinion of its financial statements for the 2010-2011 fiscal year.
The school board voted to approve a contract with design firm PBK for roofing improvements at the Barnett building.
The school board voted to approve utilizing the competitive sealed proposal method for the procurement of a contractor to replace the roof over the library at the Barnett building.
The school board voted to approve a contract with PBK for piping replacement at Wollam Elementary.
