DEPUTIES ARREST MASKED BURGLARY SUSPECTS AFTER THEY RUN OUT OF GAS
HOUSTON – Harris County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies in the Channelview area arrested three burglary suspects this week after the trio’s get-away vehicle ran out of gas.
All three are accused of kicking in the door and burglarizing two homes the morning of January 24, 2012.
The first case happened at about 9 a.m. at an apartment complex located at 917 Ashland in Channelview. The suspects kicked in the door but were quickly confronted by the apartment’s occupants. The suspects fled in a red Jeep, but not before taking a television set with them.
About half an hour later the same suspects kicked in the door to a home located at 806 Doncrest. They told the homeowner to get in the closet and then proceeded with burglarizing her home.
While HCSO deputies were taking that homeowner’s statement another patrol deputy located the suspects and their vehicle nearby. They had run out of gas.
All three were taken into custody for Burglary of a Habitation and are currently being held at the Harris County Jail. They are identified as Kassandra Beltran, 17; Raymond Paige, 19; and Kolby Fleeks, 20. Deputies later learned the burglary victim in the second case is Beltran’s aunt.
Photos of all three suspects are attached.
