Practical 'magic'
Teams from Rice, Baylor, LSU and Texas A&M to participate
in first Rice Quidditch Exhibition Scrimmage on Saturday

HOUSTON – Rice University has long drawn comparisons among students to J.K. Rowling's popular "Harry Potter" books and movies, thanks to its "Hogwarts"-style housing, owl mascot and, most recently, formation of the Rice Quidditch League. On Jan. 28, the Rice Quidditch League will host teams from Baylor University, Louisiana State University and Texas A&M University at its first Quidditch Exhibition Scrimmage. The event will include nine rounds of the game. 

Who:           Rice Quidditch League.

What:         Rice Quidditch Exhibition Scrimmage, featuring teams from Rice, Baylor, LSU and Texas A&M. 

When:                  10 a.m.-3 p.m. Jan 28. 

Intramural Field 1 on the Rice campus, 6100 Main St. (Use Entrance 18 on Rice Boulevard.)
