Beatrice Oware
Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary

Beatrice Oware, 88, received her reward of eternal rest on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at UTMB Hospital.

Beatrice was born May 27, 1923, in Aburi, Ghana to Emmanuel and Mercy Adade Oware. A devout christian, she was a devoted member of The Church in Houston, Texas, where she actively participated in many of the church ministries.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kwesi Taylor; daughter, Susie Ayiku.

She is survived by her sons, Dr. Samuel Taylor (Shirley) and Rev. Emmanuel Taylor (Linda); daughter, Mrs. Irene Nartey; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; sisters, Agnes Karanteng, Victoria Bampo and Eva Ohene; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Viewing will begin at 10AM on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, followed by a service celebrating her life at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Galveston.
