Beaumont, Texas – Effective Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 7 a.m., Liberty Avenue from First Street to 11th Street will be closed to through traffic. The closure is expected to last until Monday, Feb. 7. Following this closure, Laurel Avenue from Sixth Street to 11th Street will be closed to through traffic until Tuesday, Feb. 14. City crews will be resurfacing and rehabilitating the road.

Motorists may detour around the closed segments of Laurel Avenue and Liberty Avenue on Calder Avenue, 11th Street, and Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. Motorists are asked to be aware of all detour signs, advance warnings and other signage, and should travel with caution.
