Men Who Cook 2012 Preparations Underway
Come for the food.
Stay for the drinks.
Leave with the auction items.
The planning committee for Men Who Cook 2012, presented this year by Andy Sanford and Diana Alexander of RBC Wealth Management, is finalizing the details for this year's event, to be held February 18, at Safari Texas in Richmond. The festivities begin at 6:30 p.m., with the Billie Ledbetter Orchestra providing the evening's musical entertainment.
While the tasty temptations of more than 50 celebrity chefs is reason enough to attend, auctioneer-extraordinaire Jeff Council will be on hand to dispense with eight exciting items in the live auction.
Escape to the mountains, spending five nights in Joyce and Tom Zachman's Colorado home. This gorgeous home, nestled in the San Juan Mountains, will accommodate 8 guests with ease.
Rather stay in Texas? Than spending 4 days 3 nights on South Padre Island in Bob and Marcia Vogelsang's beachside condo might be the package for you.
If fishing is your thing, you and two friends will enjoy a voyage from West Matagorda Bay with Walt Wendtland as your expert guide.
Ready to shop till you drop? Six lucky shoppers will be whisked away to enjoy a guided trip to the Original Round Top Antique Fair in March.
If you like to entertain, invite 23 of your friends to enjoy an authentic Cuban Pig Roast at your place.
Have a bigger group to entertain; Jimmy Cantu of Pier 36 will host an evening of appetizers and drinks at Old South Plantation.
Rather have barbecue? Then be the winning bidder to have the award-winning cook team, Passin' Gas, serve you and 49 friends a dinner with all the trimmings served up at the Gurecky Farm in Guy.
Impress your friends when you throw out the first pitch at a Skeeters game. You and 24 friends will enjoy watching the game from an air condition suite, away from the buzzing mosquitoes!
