James Austin, Sr.
Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary

James Austin, Sr.James Austin, Sr., “Baby Son”, 90, received his reward of eternal rest on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Bay Villa Healthcare Center, Bay City, TX.

James was born March 10, 1921, in Bay City, TX to Lee and Nettie Austin. He accepted Christ at an early age. He was a retired longshoreman and a U.S. Army veteran, serving during WW II.

He leaves precious memories with his daughter, Pat Brown; sons, James, Jr., Reginald, Herman and Kenneth Austin, 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held today February, 7th from 3-6PM at Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at 1:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church (3300 Avenue F, Bay City, TX). Burial will follow at St Paul Cemetery in Brazoria, TX
