The Houston Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 8100 block of Panay Drive in southeast Houston about 5:30 a.m. this morning. Firefighters arrived on scene within three minutes and made an offensive attack on the fire. A primary search was conducted and firefighters vented the roof. Approximately 70 firefighters responded to the incident which was tapped out in about 15 minutes. There were no reported injuries. The fire caused about $45 thousand in damage. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
