The Dickinson Independent School District Board of Trustees on Monday voted unanimously to approve a new salary schedule for the 2012-2013 fiscal year.
The salary schedule was discussed as part of budget considerations. The new schedule will include incremental experience pay increases, as well as additional pay for teachers that had been removed during cuts made in the previous budget, which will result in an approximately two percent increase in pay for teachers.
The schedule also includes a two percent increase for all other employees.
The school board voted unanimously to call an election for May 12. The District 3 and District 4 seats on the school board have terms that expire this year. Fritzie Samford and Jeff Pittman currently hold those seats, respectively.
The school board voted unanimously to extend the contract of Superintendent Vicki Mims for one year. The item was discussed during an executive session.
All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
