Fort Bend County Commissioners Court

Fort Bend County Commissioners Court today voted to approve the issuance of revenue bonds, in an amount not to exceed $242,225,100, by the Fort Bend County Industrial Development Corporation for the NRG Energy, Inc. Project.

The bonds will be used to fund improvements at the WA Parish Electric Generating Station, including a carbon dioxide capture unit, power and steam supply systems, a carbon dioxide compressor and a carbon dioxide pipeline.  The purpose of the project is to capture and sequester carbon dioxide from a portion of the gas produced from one of the coal-fired generation units at the plant.  Resolution

The commissioners court voted unanimously to appoint Edward Eugene Reed to the Fort Bend County Levee Improvement District No. 6 Board of Directors.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to appoint Ronald Castillo to Position 8 on the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. 2 Board of Directors.  The position represents Fort Bend County.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reappoint Ben Bono, Ernie Carter and James White to the Fort Bend County Emergency Services District No. 5 Board of Commissioners.

The commissioners court took no action regarding award of a contract for landscape maintenance at the county’s Eugene Heimann Circle Facilities.

All other items were approved.  All votes were unanimous with all members present.  Agenda

During the meeting, the commissioners court heard a presentation from the Fort Bend County Toll Road Authority.
