Rosen Files for Election
Lewis S. Rosen was the first candidate to file for a place on the ballot for Mayor in the May 12 Galveston city election.
Rosen, who announced his candidacy in November, officially filed his application for a place on the ballot with the City Secretary at City Hall on Monday morning.
Rosen is a former member of the city’s Finance and Fiscal Affairs Committee and former treasurer of the Galveston Island Redevelopment Authority. He resigned recently from both groups in compliance with City Charter provisions that prohibit members from running for office.
Rosen has posted some of his views on campaign issues on his website, www.Rosen4Mayor.com.
