Filing underway for ACC Board positions

Those wanting to seek one of three positions on the Alvin Community College Board of Regents must file for a spot on the ballot by March 5.

Filing for the May general elections began on February 4.

Up for vote this election includes Position 1 now held by incumbent James DeWitt, Position 2 held by Bel Sanchez and Position 3 now held by Doyle Swindell.

The winners will serve an unpaid, six-year term.

Early voting begins on April 30. Election day is May 12.
