There will be two Mardi Gras Parades on Galveston's Seawall this Saturday.
The Mystic Krewe of Aquarius 25th annual Mardi Gras Kick off Parade - "We have come a long way baby!" will feature over 80 units including 20 high school marching bands.
"The colorful pageantry of the popular parade will spotlight 160 costumed Krewe members and the regal Aquarius royal court," said a news release. "Participating Krewes will be Thalasar, Bacchus of Texas, Krewe DuLac and Krewe of Boudreaux."
The parade, which begins at noon, will begin at 14th Street and will extend to 59th.
At
6 p.m., the Krewe of Gambrinus Parade will traverse the Seawall from
from 23rd St. to Central City Boulevard.
"
