Congressman Al Green and community leaders hold candlelight vigil
To express support for the victims of the typhoon and recent earthquake in the Philippines

WHO: Congressman Al Green (Texas 9th Congressional District) and representatives of Houston’s Filipino community.

WHAT: Candlelight vigil to express support for the victims of the typhoon and recent earthquake that struck the Philippines.

WHEN: Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 7:00 pm (CST).

WHERE: Notre Dame Catholic Church (7720 Boone Road Houston, TX 77072).

WHY: In recent months, the Philippines have been hit with a number of natural disasters.  The devastation has caused this Asian Pacific country to suffer tremendous human and economic losses.  Constituents of the 9th Congressional District led by Congressman Al Green will hold this vigil to show their solidarity with the Filipino people.
