At the time I wrote my letter, I didn’t know they had already made changes at the intersection.  It certainly appears to have made a big difference.  I’m sure there is no way they can stop every accident.  At least from all of this I learned that they have done something to make the city safer.

Knowing all of this, I will feel safe using the intersection (approaching from the left lane only so my vision is not obscured (!) and to slow way down so I will have a better chance of avoiding a car whose driver decides to run the red light.
