The La Marque Independent School District Board of Trustees on Thursday voted to order an election for May 12 for the election of two positions on the board.
Positions on the ballot for May will be District 2, currently held by Shirley Fanuiel, and District 3, held by Cynthia Bell-Malveaux.
The school board voted to approve a joint election agreement with the City of La Marque for the May 12 General Election.
The school board met in executive session to discuss various items. However, no action was taken following the executive session. Items in the executive session meeting included:
Personnel recommendations
Deliberation and possible action regarding the superintendent's employment contract
Discussion and deliberation regarding student discipline and options for students involved in an incident following a Manvel basketball game.
All other items were approved by majority vote. Trustee Travis Smith was absent from the meeting. Agenda
