The George P. Mitchell Mardi Gras Parade, sponsored by Hotel Galvez & Spa and The Tremont House, began at 7 p.m. as the first parade of the Mardi Gras season in Galveston.
The parade included a special appearance by the Budweiser Clydesdales, marching bands, festive floats and beads galore.
The parade began in front of The Tremont House and continued throughout the Mardi Gras Uptown Entertainment District.
