City of Pasadena to host public auction of vehicles and equipment

The City of Pasadena will hold its first public auction of the year on Saturday, February 18 at the Maintenance Services Facility (3124 Red Bluff Road). More than 50 vehicles are scheduled to be auctioned; the items up for bid include surplus City vehicles, as well as abandoned and confiscated cars, trucks, SUVS and even motorcycles. The upcoming auction is also scheduled to include the sale of various trailers and a towing dolly.

All vehicles and items up for bid may be viewed on Friday, February 17 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Saturday, registration and vehicle viewing starts at 7 a.m., and the auction itself will begin at 9 a.m. sharp.

All purchasers are required to have a bidder’s number to bid. Purchasers must present identification and give their correct name, address, and phone number as well, to obtain a bidder’s number. Bidders can register the day of the auction, beginning at 7 a.m., or fill out an online registration form at and return it via email anytime prior to the auction.

Acceptable forms of payment are cash, MasterCard, Visa and American Express cards only. Checks will not be accepted. Items are sold “As Is, Where Is,” and there are no warranties. There are also no deliveries. Additionally, all sales are final, and no refunds will be given. A three percent buyer’s premium will be added to the final purchase price.
