The Friendswood Independent School District Board of Trustees on Monday voted unanimously to accept the resignation of Athletic Director Steve Van Meter.
Trustee Tony Hopkins wished Van Meter well in his future endeavors. The school board will hold a special meeting on Friday to consider naming a new athletic director and head football coach.
The school board voted unanimously to approve the annexation of 4.464 acres adjacent to the Lake at San Joaquin development. The developer is proposing to build three homes on the property. Annexation of the land by the district is contingent upon it being de-annexed by Clear Creek Independent School District.
The school board voted unanimously to reschedule the March board meeting date to March 5 due to the spring break holiday.
The school board voted unanimously to renew the contracts of administrators at the district’s campuses. Contract Renewals
The school board voted 4-0-1, with Ralph Hobratschk abstaining, to approve the minutes of the January 9 meeting. Matthew Robinson was not present at the time of the vote.
