Loftin, who is a League City resident, has served as a member of League City’s staff since December 2009. He began his work in League City as director of finance and was named assistant city manager for management services after an organizational restructuring in June 2010.
“League City’s staff is made up of a group of dedicated and professional employees who are striving to make League City a great place to live and work,” said Loftin. “It’s a privilege to work beside, and lead this group until a permanent city manager is named”.
The Council is currently working with a consulting firm in the search for a new city manager. They plan to hold a special meeting on Thursday, February 16 to discuss narrowing the list of possible candidates. The meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. in the League City Council Chambers.
