Galveston’s Warrant Round-Up Underway
Police Urge the Public to Resolve Warrants Immediately or Risk Arrest
Galveston, Texas – The Galveston Police Department (GPD), along with law enforcement jurisdictions across the state of Texas, is participating in the “2012 Great Texas Warrant Round-Up”. In an effort to clear as many outstanding warrants as possible, GPD is working with other municipalities throughout Galveston County, as well as the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, to apprehend any person with outstanding warrants. Arrests can take place at any location, including the defendant’s home, school, or workplace.
Law enforcement officials are urging the public to act immediately and clear any warrants. No amnesty is being offered in conjunction with the Round-Up campaign.

The public is asked to carefully consider their method of payment. If payment is mailed warrant(s) will remain active until the payment has been received and posted by the appropriate court. The public is encouraged to contact the Galveston Municipal Court by calling (409) 765-3740 to confirm the receipt of mailed payment.
This joint effort runs through Sunday, March 4, 2012. GPD will serve any remaining warrants throughout the rest of the year.
