El Lago City Council
by Garrett Bryce
Thursday, February 16, 2012

El Lago City Council on Wednesday voted unanimously to approve a bi-annual joint resolution for the interjurisdictional emergency management plan Harris County.

The city council voted unanimously to refer an amendment to the city's Zoning Ordinance to require safety equipment for private marinas to the city attorney.

The item was referred to the attorney to determine if a recommendation was required from the Planning and Zoning Commission before approval by the council.

During the meeting, the city council reviewed and discussed the city's ISO Rating, which has improved from a five to a four. The rating impacts insurance costs for residents.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. Mayor Pro Tem Amy Carr was absent.  Agenda
