The TV KINGS POINTER has arrived at Texas A&M University at Galveston to become the new training ship.  The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and the U.S. Department of Transportation announced  in a news release on December 15 that the ship was to be transferred.  Release

Texas A&M officials say that an official announcement of the ship will be made when the vessel is fully deployed as a training ship for the Texas Maritime Academy.
