ROBB TO SEEK SEAT ON GALVESTON CITY COUNCIL
Galveston, Texas- Marie Robb formally filed papers with the Galveston City Clerk confirming that she is seeking a seat on the City Council for District Six. Due to the recent redistricting plan, there is no incumbent for the District Six seat.
Marie Robb has over 35 years of successful business experience with 23 years of corporate business experience, and 14 years as a small business owner. Marie Robb said, “I am prepared to address all areas of concern of the constituents on the west end of Galveston Island. Infrastructure improvements, maintaining our natural resources and protecting our property values are some of the issues that affect District Six and the entire Island. I am accessible, responsive, and committed to facilitating positive growth on our Island.”
Marie Robb has been a fulltime resident of Galveston’s West End for 14 years. She is married to Chris Robb, a partner with Ernst & Young, and they have two sons in college.
Pro-business, Robb is an active member of the Galveston Chamber of Commerce, serving on the Legislative and Advocacy Committee; Board Member and the Legislative Committee Chair for the Texas Shore and Beach Preservation Association; member of the Galveston Park Board Maintenance Advisory Committee; Galveston Rotary Club; and Galveston West Beach Lions Club and is active in coastal insurance and preservation issues in Austin, TX and Washington DC. Robb studied business and marketing at Widener University.
